@Matt - Good points on why it's important to be authentic in the context of community. My question is, given that online communities are starting to blend with offline ones, and being social means being yourself in a variety of mediums, isn't it important to be transparent all the time? You used to be able to experiment more with identity a few years ago, but it seems less accepted now in the online community. What are you thoughts?
