Charlie co-founded FreshMinds in 2000, moving from the Interactive Marketing Team at Procter & Gamble. He graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Engineering, Economics and Management. Charlie has a long-standing interest in branding, social networks and driving innovation online.
In 2004 Charlie was named London Entrepreneur of the Year and was recently named by Esquire Magazine as UK Young Entrepreneur of the Year. In his spare time, Charlie sails with the FreshMinds Match Racing team, currently ranked 27th in the World.
Caroline co-founded FreshMinds in 2000 and is passionate about business innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly about exploiting Web 2.0 technology to deliver advocacy and insight. She has twice been named on Management Today's "Top 35 women under 35" list for her entrepreneurial business thinking. She is dedicated to new ideas and fresh approaches, and is a regular commentator on enterprise and innovation.
Caroline has a First Class degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University. She is a Full Member of the Market Research Society.
Helen has been working in the digital arena for 15 years. After working at Sun Microsystems and United News and Media, she founded new media agency Chord9 and was most recently a director at Sift before joining FreshNetworks. She's spent the last eight years developing online communities.
Helen has been involved in launching over 100 communities, from small collaborative, closed groups to large public-facing communities with over 130,000 members. Clients include Sky, BT, Butlins, Crufts, the Foreign Office and CIPD.
Matt Rhodes is head of Client Services at FreshNetworks. One of the founding members of FreshNetworks, Matt oversees the production, management and analysis of branded online communities for brands such as BSkyB, BT and UK leisure firm Butlins. He has a background in market research, customer experience and strategy consulting, specialising in digital innovation and product and proposition development.
Matt runs both professional and personal blogs and is a prolific author of social media best-practice articles for a range of publications. He is a regular speaker at Web 2.0 and research conferences across Europe, and he is often called upon to give expert commentary about social media on Sky News, BBC radio and in various national newspapers.
Matt has an MA in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge and conducted post-graduate linguistic research at the Université de Provence in France.
Paul has over 10 years of IT consulting and technical leadership experience. He has designed and led the development of innovative software applications across a wide range of sectors including financial services, mobile and retail. Paul is an expert in the application of agile development techniques, user interface design, business intelligence and Web 2.0 technologies. He has delivered next-generation applications for clients such as Egg, Motorola, BAE Systems and Rolls Royce. He previously worked for Lost Wax, a software engineering consultancy, and John Lewis.
Paul has a Masters from the University of Cambridge.
David joined the FreshMinds team as a Special Advisor in 2004. He also holds the position of Senior Advisor at The Blackstone Group International and was named Chairman of The Blackstone Group UK in January 2004. For most of his career, David was at Lazard Brothers & Co. Limited, working initially in the asset management division before transferring to the corporate finance division. During his time there, he rose from Deputy Chief Executive in 1985 to Chief Executive in 1990 before being appointed Chairman in 1992.
David attended Eton College and Trinity College, Cambridge where he completed a MA in English. David is a non-executive Director of The Daily Mail and General Trust plc, Gutmann Bank AG, Sofina SA, Chairman of the National Art Collections Fund, a Fellow of Eton and a member of the Finance Committee of Trinity College, Cambridge. In June 2004, David received a CBE from Her Majesty the Queen.
Paul is a co-founder of Bebo.com, the UKs most popular social network, recently sold to AOL for $850M. Paul also co-founded BirthdayAlarm.com, launched and sold a social network called Ringo.com in 2003 and currently runs Cominded, a technology firm that creates and deploys community sites using Ruby on Rails.
